Video Poker: Its Difference from Table Poker

Video poker is becoming very famous today and it is a draw poker in the form of slot machines. Players have the choices to Hold or Discard any cards from the five cards shown and have the opportunity for a second deal.

There are many differences between video poker and table poker.

1. The house in video poker is not a dealer but the machine and you are not in danger of being beaten by the video machine.

2. You are not playing against other players in video poker so you don't have to worry about figuring out what the other player's hand might be.

3. There is no bluffing in video poker because there is no one to bluff to.

4. There is no risk of being beaten by other players. If you have a strong hand in video poker, you automatically win. Unlike in table poker, even if you think you have a strong hand, you can still lose if the other player has a stronger hand than yours.

5. A good game decision in video poker can be considered as a bad one in table poker. An advantageous hand in video poker can be a disadvantageous one in table poker and may apply the other way around.

Video poker was introduced in the gambling world during the 1980's and had grown constantly into being a famous casino game. Video poker games are based on the classic Five Card Stud and players are challenged to make the best five-card hand possible.
